As a modern-day real estate agent and team, one of our primary goals is to know the numbers. What exactly does this mean? Well, we look at it as our job to KNOW that as of today, April 27th, 2010, there are 2,300 residential listings on the market, 274 of which are bank owned properties, and 227 of which are short sale properties. However, for those of you who watch the news, listen to real estate reports on the radio, or even read articles in the local paper, you may be very familiar with those very numbers! So then, one might ask…. “what is the difference between a real estate agent’s numbers and information, and the numbers and information available to the general public”? The answer. Nothing! So you might be led to wonder (as any reasonable person would), “who needs a Realtor”? Well, we think that this is a really good question! We believe that a great team should bring a lot more than just numbers to the table. Our vision of a great Realtor and team is one that………

1.) Knows the numbers and how to apply them.

2.) Knows what the numbers used to be, so they can fully understand the significance of what the numbers are!

3.) Knows how to make reasonable decisions and better yet, reasonable recommendations based on the probability of the market’s direction!

4.) Know how NOT to get caught up in the sensationalism provided by the mainstream media, and make sound decisions and recommendations founded in facts!

5.) Has proven systems for taking widely available information, and forming strategic business plans for clients of how to optimize the market conditions, and not be at the mercy of them!

6.) Knows how to successfully represent clients in Buying and Selling real estate, even though the “sky is falling”.

I don’t know, maybe we are just too demanding…… but we think that these things are a real MUST for any real estate agent we would let represent us in this market! So, it’s really not “knowing the numbers” in this market, but rather…. knowing what to do with them that matters most! Knowing what to do with the numbers is precisely what helps us make sense of it all!
